Newcastle is the third largest city in NSW, and is located at the mouth of the Hunter River. The city has the largest coal export harbour in the world, with massive coal deposits in the region, and supplying plenty of jobs. Many people are also employed by the University of Newcastle and the Hunter New England Health Service, with tourism, retail and hospitality also significant. Newcastle is well served by a bus service, and by rail to Sydney. Gosford, to the south-east on the Brisbane Water, is the region's second largest city, and has the lively Ettalong Markets, which provides plenty of various goods, business and employment. The area has a great deal of natural beauty with the Australian Reptile Park and the Mangrove Boardwalk to the west. Brisbane water, Bouddi and Popran National Parks all having great natural bushland and water views. Real estate is much cheaper than in Sydney, with many houses and units available.
